Grapes come from Cape Agulhas (for the first time), Elgin, Stellenbosch.
The label visually ‘connects the dots’ of the three terroirs. Lean and fragrant, very slightly meaty in a light-touch way, rooibos tea, fynbos, biltong, nectarine skin. A slightly crazy collision of flavours but it works. And then, in the mouth, held, the spices begin to build. Fine spice. The tannins hum with spice.
It tastes like rain and it tastes like red apples and it tastes a little like a lick of rust and its savoury with driftwood tannins. Ultra-elegant. The tannins fill my mouth like a suspension bridge in the mist.

- 14-16 maanden in 228L en 300L neutrale Franse eik

- zeer boeiend en fijn in de mond met een heerlijke lange afdronk
- peper en kruiden, sappig fruit, gedroogde olijven, oregano
- op dronk, bewaart nog 5 jaar
Connect the dots: 
De wijnmaker, Sam Lambson, verkent de diversiteit van Syrah, geplant in koele microklimaten van de Kaap. Hij zoekt naar de beste locaties in de Cape Winelands en werkt zeer nauw samen met meerdere druiventelers uit verschillende regio's.  Sam Lambson verbindt de wijngaarden met elkaar en duidt ze op het etiket aan met stippen, dots.
