- Tasting notes: 'The 2016 TSW Syrah was naturally fermented in open-top fermenters and matured in 500-liter French barriques. It has a very succinct bouquet of brambly red berry fruit, sage, bay leaf and a touch of fennel. The palate is well balanced, with a lightly spiced, quite peppery opening. There is an irresistible sense of energy about this Syrah, and it is beautifully sculpted on the elegant yet long finish. Superb!' – Neal Martin Report 2018, 93/100
"This wine has always offered terrific quality relative to pricer. Grapes predominantly from a 17-year-old Syrah vineyard planted on schist but also including the usual dash of Grenache, the nose has a top note of lavender before red and black berries, olive tapenade and pepper plus a touch of reduction.
